Police Shoot Down Notorious Criminal After Pursuit in Rawang

26 SEPTEMBER: A wanted criminal with 26 previous offenses was fatally shot by police in Rawang, Selangor, following a chase early this morning. The incident unfolded when officers from the Petaling Jaya Police Headquarters encountered the suspect’s vehicle, which matched the description linked to a recent burglary in Damansara. Despite police efforts to stop him, the suspect rammed into vehicles and posed a threat, prompting officers to open fire.
The suspect, in his 30s, died at the scene. Police recovered tools typically used in burglaries, such as machetes and metal cutters, from his car. The man had a criminal record for burglaries and drug offenses and was previously detained under the Prevention of Crime Act (POCA). The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder as stated in BULETIN TV3.
