KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 5: Preacher Ustaz Syakir Nasoha has come under fire for making offensive statements against Hindus and Buddhists.
In a viral video, Syakir was seen saying that: “Buddhists and Hindus in Thailand, India, and Pakistan are attacking mosques and killing Muslims.”
Malaysian Indian Education Transformation Association (MIETA) chairman Elangovan Annamalai condemned Syakir for insulting other religions.
“Sabah, Sarawakians and Chinese everyone with us against this issue.
“Syakir creating hatred towards non-muslims and disharmony among the people,” he added.
In the video, Syakir had said: “Hindus and Buddhists are the enemies for Muslims.
“Keep in mind that Malaysia is home to both religions.
“Do you see what I mean? Don’t say you can’t see. This just proves that they’re out to get us.”
