Uniform Civil Code: Prime Minister Modi presented a clear case for the introduction of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), calling it a “secular civil code.” He claimed that because the nation is divided along religious lines, the current civil code is “communal” and encourages prejudice. Concerns Over Bangladesh:Prime Minister Modi voiced his worries about Bangladesh’s political turmoil, especially for the safety of Hindu minority. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to the prosperity and peace of its neighbor, praying for a prompt return to normalcy. “I can appreciate the worry about what has occurred in Bangladesh because we are neighbors. PM Modi expressed his wish that things there would return to normal as soon as possible. “India always wants our neighboring countries to walk the path of prosperity and peace, and the concerns of 140 crore countrymen to ensure the safety of Hindus and minorities there.”
