Private Hospital Criticized Over Consent and Billing Practices

Kuala Lumpur, 13th August 2024 – A private hospital in Malaysia has come under scrutiny for allegedly pressuring patients into signing consent forms without adequate explanation and issuing questionable bills.

The complaints, raised by patient rights groups, highlight concerns about transparency and ethics in healthcare.

The hospital has been accused of taking advantage of vulnerable patients by overcharging and not providing clear information about treatment costs.

Authorities have been urged to investigate these practices to ensure patient rights are protected, as stated in Free Malaysia Today.
