PU Azman Sentenced to 24 Years, Two Strokes of the Cane

27th September 2024: PU Azman, a well-known preacher, was sentenced to 24 years in prison and received two strokes of the cane after being found guilty of five charges involving sexual assault against male teenagers.
The offenses took place between February 2021 and August 2022, with the victims aged 17 and 18 at the time. The court found him guilty based on the overwhelming evidence provided by the prosecution. The judge ruled that PU Azman’s defense lacked credibility, leading to the sentencing aimed at protecting public interest, as stated in Sinar Harian.
