Putrajaya adopts female divers from Terengganu after a state government led by the PAS created a ruckus

KUALA LUMPUR 30 AUGUST: The federal government will oversee the two female divers from Terengganu, according to Youths and Sports Minister Hannah Yeh, following the state government’s criticism of their participation in the most recent Sukma Games.
The pair, who just took home gold from Sarawak, will keep up their regular training regimen at the Malaysian Sports School, according to Yeoh.
*National diving technical director Bryan Nickson has identified these divers for consideration in the national back-up program next year if they continue to show improvement in upcoming competitions.
Yeoh said in a Facebook statement that they believe their talents can continue to be developed before being selected for the national-level program in the future. Yech added that her ministry believes the Islamist PAS-led state administration of Terengganu will not discriminate, as per MalayMail.
