Record-Breaking Drum Performance by 235 Students in Batu Caves

4th OCTOBER: In an impressive display of talent and teamwork, 235 students from SJKT Batu Caves participated in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the largest oriental drum performance. This event, which took place on October 1, aimed to showcase the students’ dedication to their cultural heritage and to promote unity through music.

The students, aged between seven and twelve, spent months preparing for the record-breaking performance. Under the guidance of their teachers and local drumming experts, they honed their skills in rhythm and coordination. The event was held at the Batu Caves’ iconic temple complex, providing a picturesque backdrop for this significant cultural celebration.

The record attempt involved the students performing synchronized drumming routines, highlighting traditional rhythms and vibrant energy. Spectators, including parents and local community members, gathered to support the students and witness the impressive performance.
