Sai Pallavi Cast as Indhu in Sivakarthikeyan-Led Mukund Varadarajan Biopic ‘Amaran’

The creators of the biographical action drama Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, have unveiled the first look of the film’s female lead, Sai Pallavi. In Amaran, Sai Pallavi, known for her role in Premam, portrays Indhu Rebecca Varghese.

The recently released teaser offers a sneak peek into the romance between her character and Sivakarthikeyan’s, set against a military backdrop. Sivakarthikeyan shared the teaser clip with fans on X (formerly Twitter). In this film, Sivakarthikeyan takes on the role of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian Army officer who commanded the 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company.

Major Mukund was martyred in April 2014 during an operation against militants in Shopian, Kashmir. For his bravery, he was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award.The film’s score is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, with CH Sai handling cinematography and editing by Kalaivanan.

Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Sony Pictures Films India, and R Mahendran, Amaran is set for a theatrical release on October 31, coinciding with the Deepavali celebrations.
