Sarawak Rewards Bonnie Bunyau for Powerlifting Achievement

23rd September 2024: Sarawak has rewarded powerlifting champion Bonnie Bunyau Gustin with RM500,000 for his outstanding achievements, including winning gold at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and dominating the 2023 World Para Powerlifting Championships in Dubai.
Bonnie’s continued success brings pride to Sarawak, and this reward highlights the state’s recognition of his dedication and hard work. Premier Abang Johari Openg presented the reward, acknowledging Bonnie as an inspiration for all Sarawakians, particularly young athletes, as stated in Free Malaysia Today.
