School Bus Driver Arrested for Filming Students, Referring to Them as “Crush”

6 SEPTEMBER: A 24-year-old school bus driver has been arrested after he was found filming primary school students and disturbingly referring to them as his “crush.”
State police chief Commissioner M. Kumar confirmed that the suspect was apprehended in Simpang Renggam during a pre-dawn operation at 2:57 a.m. The arrest was made following complaints about the driver’s inappropriate actions involving young students under his care.
The authorities have also confiscated the driver’s mobile phone, which is believed to contain the incriminating footage of the students. The police are currently investigating the matter to determine the full extent of the driver’s actions, with the possibility of pressing additional charges if further evidence emerges.
This disturbing incident has raised concerns among parents and the public about the safety of children while using school transportation. The authorities have urged parents and schools to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour.
