Selangor Offers RM1 Bounty for Invasive ‘Bandaraya’ Fish

Kuala Lumpur, 11th August 2024 -The Selangor government is offering RM1 per kilogram to anyone who catches the invasive ‘Bandaraya’ fish.
This initiative aims to control the population of this species, which is harmful to local ecosystems and water quality.
The fish, commonly known as the janitor fish, poses a threat to native aquatic life.
The public is encouraged to participate in this effort to protect the environment, as stated in the Star.
