Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Alert in Eight Malaysian States

29th October: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has released an alert for severe weather, warning of thunderstorms, intense rainfall, and strong winds affecting eight Malaysian states. This weather event is predicted to impact regions in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, and Malacca, as well as certain districts in Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, and Sarawak until at least noon today.
MetMalaysia has listed districts like Tumpat in Kelantan and Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan as high-risk areas. The department advises residents to remain cautious, especially in areas vulnerable to flash floods, as adverse weather could increase risk to public safety.
