Sinkhole in Busan Swallows Two Trucks After Heavy Rainfall

23 SEPTEMBER: A massive sinkhole, measuring eight meters deep, opened up on a road in Busan, South Korea, causing two trucks to plunge into it, according to local media reports.
The incident, believed to be triggered by continuous heavy rainfall, occurred in Sasang-gu, Busan, around 8:45 a.m. The sinkhole is approximately 10 meters wide, 5 meters long, and 8 meters deep, as reported by Yonhap News Television, citing the Busan Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters.
The city experienced over 200mm of rain, which may have contributed to the road collapse. Thankfully, no casualties were reported. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the sinkhole as stated in Buletin TV3.
