Sivakarthikeyan, an actor and producer, is rapidly establishing himself in the Tamil cinema business by collaborating with well-known filmmakers. In a recent fan interaction, filmmaker Venkat Prabhu said that he will be directing Sivakarthikeyan once The Greatest of All Time comes out.
Recently, Venkat and Sivakarthikeyan were the subject of a lot of rumours. But this is the project’s first official confirmation.
“Yes, I am directing Sivakarthikeyan in my next movie. But, Sivakarthikeyan has a few commitments already. He can only work with me after that. So there will be a small gap, but I want that to be my next directorial outing,” said Venkat Prabhu.
Amaran’s release is currently anticipated by Sivakarthikeyan. Rajkumar Periasamy wrote the script and directed the movie, which is anticipated to change the perception of Sivakarthikeyan as an action hero. Amaran is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian soldier who was killed. The movie, which is slated to open in theatres on October 31, is produced by Sony Pictures Films India and Raaj Kamal Films International, both led by Kamal Haasan.
In addition, Sivakarthikeyan is hard at work filming his upcoming film with director AR Murugadoss. It is anticipated that the movie, tentatively titled SK23, will be an action drama. Along with Biju Menon and Vidyut Jammwal, it also stars Rukmini Vasanth.
Sivakarthikeyan is anticipated to work with director Sudha Kongara on the historical play Purananuru following SK23. Official confirmation is still pending, though.
With Thalapathy Vijay playing the protagonist, Venkat is now working on The Greatest of All Time’s post-production. He has started doing pre-release interviews as part of his marketing campaign. This is his debut picture with Vijay and one of the most expensive of his career. September 5 is when the movie is scheduled to premiere globally.
