SJK (T) Sungai Manggis Triumphs in National Recycling Innovation Contest

August 25, 2024: SJK (T) Sungai Manggis won first place in the National Level Egg Carton Recycling Innovation Competition, which took place at SK Tebing Tinggi in Selama, Perak, with an outstanding demonstration of innovation and environmental stewardship.

This prestigious event saw participation from 37 schools, including 30 national schools, four Tamil schools, and three Chinese schools, making SJK (T) Sungai Manggis’ victory all the more remarkable.

The students of SJK (T) Sungai Manggis showcased their dedication and ingenuity throughout the competition, which aimed to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness among young minds. Their innovative approach to recycling egg cartons not only impressed the judges but also highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering eco-consciousness within the community.

This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the school’s Headmaster, the School Management, the Parent Teacher Association, and the Nature Lovers Association. Special recognition goes to the dedicated teachers—Mrs. Go. Santhi, Mrs. T. Susan, Mrs. S. Thanalakshmi, Mrs. P. Padmajothi, and Mrs. S. Lokeswari, whose guidance and encouragement played a pivotal role in the success of this program.

The entire school community is celebrating this victory, which not only brings pride to SJK (T) Sungai Manggis but also serves as an inspiration for other schools to follow suit in promoting sustainable initiatives.
