Teen Attempts to Extinguish Burning Motorcycle with Slippers

20th September 2024: A 16-year-old boy attempted to put out a motorcycle fire using slippers after his bike caught fire in Taman Desa, near here. The incident occurred around 4:30 PM when the teenager noticed smoke coming from his motorcycle’s engine. He quickly tried to extinguish the fire using his slippers, but his efforts were unsuccessful.
Firefighters were called to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames shortly after. The fire, believed to have started from a fuel leak, caused significant damage to the vehicle, but no injuries were reported.
This unusual incident highlighted the importance of proper fire safety measures. Authorities advise the public to avoid using inappropriate materials to extinguish fires and call emergency services immediately when such incidents occur.
