Teen Found Dead in Bagan Ajam, No Foul Play Suspected

6 SEPTEMBER: A 19-year-old foreigner was found dead in a car in Bagan Ajam, with police ruling out foul play. Seberang Prai Utara police chief Assistant Commissioner Anuar Abd Rahman stated that the young man’s body was discovered around 2 pm on Wednesday at a used car dealership lot.
The victim was found in the back seat of the car, his neck and body entangled with the seat belt. Initial investigations revealed no signs of criminal involvement. A post-mortem confirmed that the cause of death was ligature strangulation.
According to his employer and colleagues, the deceased had only recently begun working at a car wash, having arrived in the area from Kuala Lumpur. Friends mentioned that the man had been dealing with personal issues, specifically problems with his wife, which had led to arguments over the phone. They also reported that he had been under considerable stress.
The case is being classified as a sudden death report (SDR), and investigations continue as stated in NST.
