Teenager Dies After Tree Falls on Motorcycle

12 SEPTEMBER: A factory worker’s journey home ended in tragedy when he was killed by a fallen tree that crushed his motorcycle on Jalan Industri Kelemak this morning.

The incident occurred around 6:30 AM, involving 18-year-old Ikhmal Hakimi Hasrul Rizuan, who was riding a Benelli motorcycle. He suffered fatal head injuries from the accident.

Alor Gajah District Police Chief, Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah, reported that the police received news of the accident at 6:50 AM. Initial investigations reveal that Ikhmal was traveling home from Alor Gajah towards his residence in Taman Lendu Bakti, Masjid Tanah. Upon reaching the location, a tree collapsed onto his motorcycle, causing him to fall onto the road.

Ikhmal was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe head injuries. His body has been sent to the Alor Gajah Hospital’s Forensic Unit for an autopsy, and the motorcycle has been seized for inspection at Puspakom.

The police are seeking witnesses to assist with the investigation, which is being conducted under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 as stated in Berita Harian.
