Terrifier 3: 11 Audience Walk Out, One Vomits from ‘Extreme Gore’; Theatres Bring in Medical Assistance

As Halloween approaches, moviegoers looking for a terrifying experience have the perfect pick for the spooky season – Damien Leone’s highly anticipated Christmas-themed slasher, Terrifier 3.
Judging by the reactions at a recent preview screening in the UK, viewers should brace themselves for an intense and gruesome experience, with reports of some audience members walking out mid-film and even vomiting due to the film’s extreme violence and gore.
The official Terrifier 3 account shared a photo of a disclaimer that was displayed at the start of the preview screening in the UK. The message on the screen warned viewers of the graphic content they were about to witness: “This film contains extreme violence and excessive gore. If you are feeling unwell, please find a member of staff.
Staff trained in first aid are on site.” The caption accompanying the photo read, “Don’t say we didn’t warn you.”It seems that the disclaimer wasn’t just a precaution. Reports from the screening indicate that 12 people either walked out of the theater during the film or were physically sick after witnessing the grotesque and bloody scenes.
The day after the event, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Signature Entertainment, the production company behind Terrifier 3, reposted the film’s disclaimer with a statement of their own. “Thank you to everyone joining us last night for the Terrifier 3 gala. Venue staff have reported 11 people walking out and 1 person vomiting.
If the #Terrifier3 event impacted you, please let us know if you need more support at this time.”The disturbing nature of the film only seemed to fuel the excitement of slasher fans, who took to social media to express their eagerness to see the film. One enthusiastic commenter wrote, “The gorier the better,” while another said, “This makes me want to see it even more!” Another fan remarked, “If my theatre has something like this up, I’m taking it,” in reference to the graphic warning. Yet another user simply stated, “Smart marketing.”
Terrifier 3 is the latest installment in Damien Leone’s slasher franchise, which has gained a reputation for pushing the boundaries of gore and horror. David Howard Thornton reprises his role as the terrifying antagonist Art the Clown, who unleashes horrific chaos – this time during the Christmas season.
The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in the U.S. on October 11, and fans are already eager to see what shocking and grisly twists await them in this third chapter of the bloody saga.
