The third dosage is not for everyone – KJ

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24: The government’s decision on the third dosage of the COVID-19 vaccination to high-risk groups does not violate the World Health Organization’s (WHO), Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said.
Khairy said the government’s decision was justifiable because the country had not recorded any COVID-19 vaccine waste.
Furthermore, he said that the government only administered the third dosage to a selected people, and that not all people were qualified for the COVID-19 vaccination.
“We also contributed our vaccinations to other countries, notably Bosnia, as previously documented, during the peak of the pandemic,” said Khairy.
“In reality, no vaccination waste was discovered in Malaysia.
“This is in contrast to industrialised countries, which stock the vaccine but waste it when a dosage is not utilised before the expiration date, whereas Malaysia uses all available vaccine supplies.
“In myth, if the quantity of vaccinations does not need to be provided, Malaysia can delay the delivery so that the supply can be transferred to other countries first,” he added.
