Thunderstorms Expected in Eleven States Until 11 AM Today, MetMalaysia Alerts

15 October: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms expected in several parts of the country until 11 AM today, October 15. The advisory covers eleven states and federal territories, urging residents to brace for potential stormy weather.
According to MetMalaysia, areas in Peninsular Malaysia that could be affected include parts of Selangor such as Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang. Several districts in Kedah, including Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Yan, Kuala Muda, and Bandar Baharu, are also on the alert. In Perak, thunderstorms may hit Kerian, Larut, Matang, Selama, Manjung, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak. Johor regions including Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, and Johor Bahru are also at risk.
Additionally, the entire states of Perlis, Penang, and Melaka, along with Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, have been included in the thunderstorm warning.
In East Malaysia, certain areas in Sarawak such as Bintulu and Subis in Miri are expected to experience similar weather conditions.
MetMalaysia urges the public to stay informed and exercise caution during this period. The weather warnings serve as a reminder for residents to remain alert to potential flash floods, strong winds, and hazardous conditions associated with thunderstorms.
