Tony Fernandes Urges Singapore Airlines to Ensure Transparency in Recruitment

14th September 2024 – AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes has called on Singapore Airlines (SIA) to address concerns regarding its recruitment practices, particularly in relation to its Malaysian staff.
Speaking in response to complaints from SIA’s Malaysian employees, Fernandes emphasized the need for transparency and fairness. Reports have surfaced that these employees face unequal treatment compared to their Singaporean counterparts, with alleged differences in working conditions and opportunities.
Fernandes urged SIA to take responsibility by ensuring fair treatment for all workers, regardless of nationality, and to clarify their recruitment processes, as stated in Free Malaysia Today.
