This announcement was made during a session at the Dewan Rakyat. The tourism industry in Malaysia has long been a significant contributor to the nation’s economy, with projections indicating sustained growth in the coming years.

The statement underscores the government’s optimism regarding the potential of the tourism sector to drive economic prosperity. By attracting both domestic and international visitors, Malaysia aims to leverage its diverse attractions, ranging from pristine beaches and lush rainforests to vibrant cultural heritage sites and modern cityscapes.
