Tragic Accident Claims Young Life

Kuala Lumpur, 3rd July 2024 -In Seremban, a tragic accident occurred when a five-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle while riding her bike around her neighborhood. The incident happened around 7 PM on Sunday.

The young girl was cycling behind a four-wheel-drive vehicle in a residential area and suddenly swerved into the opposite lane. A 34-year-old driver, coming from the opposite direction, was unable to stop in time and collided with her.

The girl was rushed to Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar but sadly passed away an hour later due to her injuries. Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Hatta Che Din stated that preliminary investigations revealed the girl’s sudden swerve into the opposite lane as the cause of the collision.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which pertains to reckless driving. The police are appealing for any eyewitnesses to come forward and assist in the investigation.
