Udhayanidhi Stalin Appointed as Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister; Senthil Balaji and Three Other Ministers Sworn In

Following the appointment of Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, as deputy chief minister, four additional legislators from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) were sworn in as cabinet ministers on Sunday in a ceremony conducted by Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi in Chennai.
Among those taking the oath was DMK leader V Senthil Balaji, who had recently received bail from the Supreme Court concerning a money laundering case. The other three legislators who were sworn in include R Rajendran from Salem-North, Govi Chezhiaan representing Thiruvidaimarudur, and S M Nasar from Avadi.
The event took place at Raj Bhavan, attended by Chief Minister MK Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi, who had already been designated as the deputy chief minister. An official announcement from Tamil Nadu’s Raj Bhavan indicated, “On the recommendation of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu has approved the subject allocation and designation for the newly sworn-in Ministers as noted against each.”
