Patrick Wilson, known for portraying paranormal investigator Ed Warren, has completed filming his portions for The Conjuring: Last Rites, the final installment in the popular horror franchise. Vera Farmiga, who stars alongside Wilson as Lorraine Warren, penned an emotional note as the series approaches its conclusion.

Taking to Instagram, Farmiga shared a nostalgic photo of Ed and Lorraine’s wedding from the franchise, reflecting on her 12-year journey as part of The Conjuring universe. “I got them feels today,” she wrote, expressing gratitude for nearly 5,000 days working alongside Wilson. “Here’s to 12 years. I cherish you,” she added, bidding farewell to their on-screen “marriage.”

Directed by Michael Chaves and set to release on September 5, 2025, The Conjuring: Last Rites also stars Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, Shannon Kook, and Steve Coulter. The script was crafted by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, Ian Goldberg, and Richard Naing, with franchise creators James Wan and Peter Safran returning as producers.

The film marks the fourth direct Conjuring installment and the ninth entry in the larger universe, which began with James Wan’s 2013 hit The Conjuring. The franchise has expanded to include spin-offs like the Annabelle series and The Nun films.

As the Warrens’ cinematic journey draws to a close, fans await Last Rites, a fitting finale to one of horror’s most enduring franchises.
