‘Vibhuti’ issue: ‘If he has apologized, we just leave it’ – Waytha
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 4: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Waytha Moorthy has urged all parties to move on from the incident in which an Opposition MP linked the holy ash worn by Jelutong MP RSN Rayer to the ashes of communist leader Chin Peng.
“If he (Tajuddin) has retracted, I think in the spirit of Malaysia, we just leave it.
“We will accept (his apology) in the spirit of unity.
“Sometimes people say things out of excitement, especially in Parliament.
“They get very excited (because) people are watching and the whole country is watching,” Waytha told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
Yesterday, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman (BN-Pasir Salak) had asked Rayer whether the Vibhuti on his forehead was Chin Peng’s ashes.
