Woman Charged Over Fatal UiTM Student Accident

15 October: A 49-year-old woman involved in a tragic accident that claimed the lives of three students of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) was charged today in the Dungun Magistrate’s Court. The accused faces three charges under section 302 of the Penal Code. The incident occurred on at 7;35pm on October 9, when the woman’s Honda CRV collided with two motorcycles carrying four students near the university.
Three victims, aged between 20 and 25, lost their lives, while one suffered injuries and has been discharged from Dungun Hospital. The driver, accompanied by her family, arrived at the court after being held in custody for six days. The case is now moving through legal proceedings and there was no plea recorded as the case falls under jurisdiction of High Court as stated in BULETIN TV3.
