Zubir Khan Honored with Muhibbah Award for Unity Through Music

24 October: Zubir Khan, a Malaysian singer known for his viral Tamil hit YennadoMacha, has been awarded the Muhibbah Award for his contributions to unity through music. At 24, Zubir, of Pakistan-Malay descent, has used his songs to bring together people from diverse backgrounds. Despite losing his right hand at a young age, he persevered in his musical career, performing at weddings and releasing viral Tamil tracks on YouTube.

This award, presented by the National Press Club of Malaysia and MACROKIOSK, is Zubir’s first recognition for his work in promoting harmony. Zubir expressed deep gratitude for this honor, calling it a cherished memory and motivation to continue creating songs that inspire unity. His hit Oh My Khadhale and his upcoming release Deepavali Sudah Marifurther demonstrate his dedication to this mission.

Abdul Rahmat Omar, representing the NPC, praised Zubir’s efforts in uniting Malaysians through music and called for continued promotion of unity within society as stated in The Sun.
