Born in Tamil Nadu in 1931, his career as a scientist was marked by pivotal contributions to India’s space and defense programs. He played a crucial role in developing India’s satellite launch vehicle and ballistic missile technology, earning him the Bharat Ratna in 1997.
In 2002, Dr. Kalam became India’s 11th President, a role in which he emphasized the importance of science, technology, and education. He was known not only for his scientific brilliance but also for his wisdom and humility, offering timeless motivational quotes that continue to inspire generations. His legacy is a beacon of perseverance and dedication, reminding us to pursue our dreams with passion and unwavering commitment.
Dr. Kalam passed away in 2015, yet his memory lives on, celebrated for his contributions to humanity and his vision for a better future as stated in Astro Ulagam.
