Actor and social media star Bijili Ramesh from Tamil dies after a protracted illness

According to India Today, Tamil star Bijili Ramesh passed away in Chennai today following a protracted illness linked to liver problems. The report further stated that his last rites will be held today, August 27, at 5 p.m. in Chennai, close to MGR Nagar. According to the article, Ramesh had been bedridden for a few months and his family had made an appeal to coworkers for financial support for his medical care. Ramesh, who acknowledged to being an alcoholic, frequently counselled interviewees to preserve their health and abstain from binge drinking, the report stated.
Ramesh gained notoriety in 2018 after appearing in a widely shared practical joke on YouTube. The report also stated that he established himself in popular culture and appeared in a unique advertising song for “Kolamaavu Kokila,” a film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring South celebrity Nayanthara. He made his acting debut in Tamil films, primarily in comedic roles. In addition to performing on the cooking reality TV show “Cooku With Comali,” Ramesh has performed in films including Amala Paul’s “Aadai,” Hip Hop Adhi’s “Natpe Thunai,” Jayam Ravi’s “Comali,” Jyotika’s “Ponmagal Vandhal,” and others. He declared himself to be a Rajinikanth admirer. Social media was ablaze with sympathy and well wishes for the actor and his family as word spread of Ramesh’s passing.
