Sony has announced that Spider-Man 4 will hit theaters on July 24, 2026, with Tom Holland reprising his role as the web-slinging hero. Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will take over directing duties for this highly anticipated sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

The previous three installments featuring Holland, Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and No Way Home, were directed by Jon Watts and achieved both critical and commercial success, collectively grossing nearly $4 billion worldwide.

While Holland has confirmed his involvement, Zendaya’sreturn as MJ has yet to be officially announced. Recently, Holland shared that the script draft, which he reviewed three weeks ago, has him excited. “It’s truly a film that respects the fans,” he said, adding that he and Zendaya were thrilled after reading it together, even celebrating certain scenes.

Though some elements still need to be finalized, Holland hinted that the creative direction is promising, fueling fan excitement as the production gears up to continue the beloved Spider-Man series under new leadership.
