Actor Bala Arrested After Ex-Wife Amritha Suresh Files Complaint; Faces Juvenile Justice Act Charges

Actor Bala was arrested by the Kadavanthra Police early Monday following a complaint from his ex-wife, AmrithaSuresh. According to a report by Mathrubhumi, Amritha accused Bala of defaming her and their daughter on social media. He has been charged under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act.
Amritha’s complaint also alleges that Bala harassed their daughter and even stalked her. The actor was arrested from his Edappally residence and is currently being interrogated at the Kadavanthra Police Station. He is expected to appear in court later today.
The couple has had a contentious history, with both raising serious allegations against each other on social media. Amrithahad previously accused Bala of lying about his first marriage and domestic abuse. Their daughter, Avantika, added to the controversy by posting a video claiming she had been physically and mentally abused by Bala since childhood.
In response, Bala posted a video in which he denied the allegations, breaking down in tears but thanking Avantika for acknowledging him as her father.
Amritha also opened up about the abuse she suffered during their marriage, revealing that she married Bala at 18 and faced physical and emotional torment. She recalled incidents where she was too scared to confront her family, who opposed their union from the start.
