Hanuman Jayanti, celebrated on April 12 this year, marks the birth of Lord Hanuman, one of the most beloved and powerful deities in Hinduism. Known as the son of the wind god Vayu and Anjana Devi, Hanuman represents unwavering devotion, immense strength, and selfless service.

On this auspicious day, devotees visit temples to offer prayers and perform special rituals like abhishekam (ceremonial bathing), archana (offerings), and continuous chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa. Many people observe fasting and engage in spiritual practices to honor Lord Hanuman and seek his divine protection and blessings.

As a key figure in the Ramayana, Hanuman’s loyalty to Lord Rama and his heroic feats, such as flying across the ocean and carrying the Sanjeevani mountain continue to inspire generations. He is considered a protector against evil forces, and invoking his name is believed to bring courage, peace, and relief from fear.

In today’s world, Hanuman Jayanti reminds us of the importance of faith, resilience, and humility. His character teaches us to face difficulties with bravery and to serve others with a pure heart. As we celebrate Hanuman Jayanti, may we be guided by the noble values he stands for. Let us pray for his divine grace to bless us with strength, clarity, and inner peace in our daily lives.
