ChatGPT Goes Mobile: Now on Android Phones in Malaysia!
By Loshinniy Nair Baskaran
Kuala Lumpur, Aug 03 : For Malaysian users, OpenAI has published an Android version of ChatGPT, allowing them to access the GPT3.5-powered chatbot. The software is available for free on the Google Play Store, but users must sign in with their Google account, Apple ID, or email address. Users can view and resume previous conversations they had with ChatGPT on any of the other platforms under the “History” tab, as well as initiate new conversations once logged in.
The software also includes a speech-to-text capability, enabling users to interact with the chatbot using their voice. Long-pressing on a message in ChatGPT reveals a menu, providing users with access to desktop version features such as the option to regenerate a specific response, indicate if a response is good or terrible, select text, and copy text.
Moreover, ChatGPT Plus offers speech-to-text functionality, desktop features, and access to the GPT4 big language model. Users can subscribe to ChatGPT Plus, which provides faster response times, beta features, and chatbot access even during busy times.”
