Kuala Lumpur, Aug 3: The Australian Space Agency believes that a significant piece of space junk that landed on an unknown West Australian beach came from an Indian rocket vehicle. The cylinder was discovered in July near Green Head, approximately 250 kilometers north of Perth. It is roughly 2.5 meters high and partially made of woven cloth with a golden color.
The Indian Space Research Organisation is in charge of operating the medium-lift launch vehicle, as the organization added.
Australia has been used as a landing site for space debris before; in New South Wales, a sheep farmer discovered a burned piece from one of SpaceX’s operations, founded by Elon Musk, sticking out of his paddock last August.
