The actor who became associated with Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe, has stated on numerous occasions that he is finished playing the character. Even though he chose not to continue portraying the legendary character, Radcliffe previously talked candidly about the conflicting feelings he could have felt if someone else had the part.

He called the concept “strange.” In 2015, upon the announcement of J.K. Rowling’s two-part play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Radcliffe allegedly expressed his disinterest in playing the same role twice.
In an interview with Andy Cohen for Watch What Happens Live, he acknowledged that it would be weird to watch another actor take on the role of Harry Potter.

The actor, who is currently 35 years old, said, “I get asked all the time, ‘Would you play him?’ and I say, ‘No.'” However, it would be quite strange to have someone else portray him.”

The play is set 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and Radcliffe was too young to play Harry at the time. Albus, Harry’s youngest son, is the main character of the plot. In the summer of 2016, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child made its West End debut. Additionally, Radcliffe declined to be associated with the Fantastic Beasts series, despite commending the actors in the franchise, according to Entertainment Tonight.

In a more recent interview with E! News, Radcliffe, who also brought the boy wizard to life in all eight films from 2001 to 2011, shared his excitement about the upcoming Harry Potter TV series. However, he firmly stated that he had no intention of returning to the role.

Radcliffe expressed his happiness about the film franchise being revived as a TV series, but he declined to be involved in HBO Max’s adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s work. He plans to watch it just like everyone else.
