Introduction
As a follow-up to the 2015 horror movie “Demonte Colony,” “Demonte Colony 2,” filmed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, debuted on August 15. After four days, it brought in a total of Rs 16 crore worldwide, and in five days, it crossed the Rs 20 crore mark. New protagonists in the sequel, which retains the suspense and horror themes of the first movie, must battle supernatural forces within Demonte Colony.
Plot Synopsis
Demonte Colony 2 continues where the first one left off. The story centers on Arulnithi’s character, Srinivasan, whose soul left his body and is now a roaming ghost. The story becomes more complicated when Priya Bhavani Shankar’s character and a Tibetan exorcist unintentionally call up Srinivasan’s spirit, warning them of the danger Raghu, also portrayed by Arulnithi, Srinivasan’s brother, faces. Horror enthusiasts will love the story’s blend of supernatural themes and spine-tingling moments, which are based in the strange and haunting community of Demonte Colony.
Direction and Performances
Arulnithi’s dual part as Raghu and Srinivasan demonstrates his range as an actor and successfully captures the suspense and dread needed for such a horrible story. Priya Bhavani Shankar also makes an impression with her captivating performance, which gives the plot more nuance. After suffering a failure with his last movie, Cobra, director Ajay Gnanamuthu makes a comeback with this tightly wound horror thriller, which holds the attention of the viewer for the entire 144 minutes.
