4 NOVEMBER: S. Kisona has achieved a remarkable milestone for Malaysia by winning the Dutch Open title, her first championship in three years. In a thrilling match, she triumphed over Keisha Fatimah Az Zahra of Azerbaijan with a score of 21-14, 21-16. This win ends her title drought and highlights her skill and determination.

Kisona’s career has seen major challenges. She previously underwent knee surgery in 2014 and in 2022 made the bold decision to leave the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM), aiming to focus on her game independently. The win in Almere is significant, marking her ability to succeed under new conditions.
