Malaysia-China Collaboration to Drive Economic Growth

10th September 2024 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim highlighted the strong foundation of Malaysia-China relations during his keynote speech at the 17th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention.
He emphasized the significance of China’s Premier Li Qiang’s visit, which reinforced the bilateral ties. The two nations signed agreements to enhance cooperation in digital economy and green development. Last year, China remained Malaysia’s top trading partner, with bilateral trade totalling US$98.80 billion.
Anwar also acknowledged the vital contributions of the Malaysian Chinese community in driving Malaysia’s economic and cultural progress, committing to fostering innovation and investment under the MADANI Economy Framework, as stated in Bernama.
