Man Faces Death Penalty for Stabbing Interior Designer 20 Times

2 OCTOBER: An unemployed man, Lim Wah Siong, 50, appeared in Petaling Jaya Magistrate Court for the alleged murder of interior designer Muhammad Sharqawi Abu Bakar, 36. Lim was charged with the crime committed at an apartment in Bandar Sri Damansara on September 14, 2024. The victim was found with 20 stab wounds.
The incident reportedly occurred when Sharqawi confronted Lim, who had broken into his apartment to steal. A struggle ensued, leading to the fatal stabbing. The case is under the jurisdiction of the High Court, with the next hearing set for November 8, 2024 as stated in BULETIN TV3.
