Ministry Urges Public to Carefully Review Hotel Terms Amid Complaints

26th September 2024: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living has advised the public to thoroughly examine hotel terms and conditions before making bookings.
This advice follows an increase in complaints from consumers who were unaware of hidden fees, strict cancellation policies, or other unexpected charges.
The ministry emphasized that consumers should be vigilant and understand their rights to avoid any misunderstandings or disputes with hotels. It also encouraged hotels to be more transparent in their policies, as stated in Free Malaysia Today.
