Kuala Lumpur, Aug 14 : The Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman-led (pic) party’s desire to join the alliance has drawn criticism from a PKR leader Amid claims that Muda split support for Pakatan Harapan.

He said that without Muda competing, Pakatan may have won the Sungai Kandis seat. Fahmi Fadzil, the director of communications for Pakatan, expressed dismay about the vote breakdown on Saturday. Wan Dzahanurin Ahmad, a Perikatan Nasional candidate, defeated Pakatan’s Zawawi Mughni for the Sungai Kandis seat by 167 votes.
In a three-way race, Wan Dzahanurin received 28,926 votes, while Muda contender Afriena Shaqira received 1,341 votes. If Muda had not run, according to critics, Pakatan would have been able to win the seat. Malaysia is a democratic nation where everyone can vote, according to Muda Communications Head Leben Siddarth.
“No party should place the blame for their electoral results on another. “Splitting votes shouldn’t ever be brought up because Malaysians have the legal right to vote,” he added, adding that Muda would keep working harder. – The Star
According to a party insider, Syed Saddiq, the head of Muda, should learn from the disappointing election results. Yesterday, Syed Saddiq stated via Twitter that Muda would keep trying to serve as a check and balance. He claimed that the group faced a challenging trek.
