PAYUNG RAHMAH INITIATIVE INCLUDES GLASSES PURCHASE FOR AS LOW AS RM50

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 June: The Payung Rahmah initiative, which attempts to alleviate the burden placed on low-income households owing to rising living costs, is now extending to include eyewear as part of the Rahmah Glasses Package.
In a Facebook post, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister stated that the initiative was a joint effort with Metro Optical Group (MOG) Eyewear, an established eye care provider.
Datuk Seri Salahuddin also added that the public could now buy eyewear for between RM50 and RM100, and for an additional RM100, they could upgrade their lenses to “blue cut lenses” that protect against ultraviolet radiation.
He also stated that the Payung Rahmah initiative will continue to scale up to meet the necessity of Malaysians with new services. Salahuddin announced that this package will be available at 96 MOG eyeglasses stores throughout Malaysia.
