PM Meets David Marriott to Boost Malaysia’s Tourism

11th September 2024 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim received David Marriott, chairman of Marriott International, in a courtesy call to discuss Malaysia’s tourism promotion strategies.
They focused on expanding the country’s flight network and showcasing its rich cultural heritage, diverse cuisines, and biodiversity to Western tourists.
Anwar highlighted the 28.9% increase in foreign tourists during the first half of 2024, attributing the success to the government’s MADANI policies. He stressed the need for public-private collaboration to ensure the tourism sector’s growth benefits all Malaysians, as stated in Bernama.
