In celebration of the PlayStation’s 30th Anniversary, Sony has unveiled a special limited-edition version of the PlayStation 5 (PS5), featuring the iconic grey color scheme reminiscent of the original console. This anniversary edition PS5 is the new, slimmer digital-only variant and comes as part of an exclusive bundle, priced at RM2,299.
The bundle includes a 1TB solid-state drive, a limited-edition grey DualSense wireless controller, a matching console cover for the optional disc drive attachment, and a vertical stand. Along with these, the package offers several nostalgic collectibles, such as a cable connector housing designed like a PlayStation controller, four cable ties shaped like the signature PlayStation symbols, a PlayStation sticker, a limited-edition poster (one of 30 unique designs), and a PlayStation logo-shaped paperclip.
For those interested in standalone controllers, Sony is offering two options: the DualSense Edge wireless controller, available for pre-order at RM1,099, and the regular DualSense wireless controller, priced at RM399.
Another exciting product available for pre-order is the PlayStation Portal Remote Player, which also features the same retro-inspired design, and is priced at RM1,099.
Fans looking to secure the limited-edition PS5 bundle can pre-order through participating retailers listed on Sony’s official website, with deliveries expected to begin by November 21.
However, the PS5 Pro version of the 30th Anniversary Collection bundle, available in other regions, is notably absent from the lineup in Malaysia. The PS5 Pro is still set to launch locally on November 7, with pre-orders priced at RM3,849.
