Sinkhole in Kampung Kerinchi Not Linked to Sewage Pipes, Says IWK

30th August 2024 – Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) has clarified that the recent sinkhole in Kampung Kerinchi was not caused by their sewage pipes.
IWK reported that their sewage systems in the area are intact, having undergone thorough inspections to confirm their condition. The company emphasized its commitment to regular maintenance and monitoring to avoid such incidents.
While residents are concerned, IWK assured that their infrastructure is not the source. Authorities are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the sinkhole to prevent future incidents, as stated in Free Malaysia Today.
