1st April 2025- The Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple in Bukit Kemuning has stepped forward to help those affected by the gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya. Kota Kemuning assemblyman Preakas Sampunathan shared the news on Instagram, saying that the temple is offering assistance to the victims during this difficult time.
The temple is providing shelter, a place to rest, and other support for those impacted by the fire. As of 10:35 am, 25 victims have received initial treatment at the temple. Medical teams from the Ministry of Health are helping the victims, some of whom have suffered burns, wounds, and breathing problems. Five of the victims were transferred to Serdang Hospital for more treatment.
The fire started at 8:23 am, and the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department responded quickly to the emergency call. Firefighters are still working to control the fire.
This gesture from the Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple shows the community’s strength and willingness to support each other in times of crisis. The temple’s action highlights how people can come together to offer help and care when it is needed most.
