The teaser for the upcoming documentary “Raghuvaran: A Star That Defied Time” has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into the life and career of the late actor Raghuvaran.
The teaser features insights from actors Nassar and Rohini Molleti, who reflect on Raghuvaran’s dedication to his craft and his distinctive physical and facial features. It also includes behind-the-scenes footage of the actor’s preparations and concludes with his iconic line from “Baasha”: “Do you think I am Baasha to forgive, I am Antony.”
Born in Kerala in 1958, Raghuvaran made his acting debut in 1982 with K. Hariharan’s “Ezhavathu Manithan” and P.N. Sundaram’s Malayalam film “Kakka.” He went on to star in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Some of his notable films are “Samsaram Adhu Minsaram,” “Michael Raj,” “Anjali,” “Baashha,” “Love Today,” and “Amarkalam.” Posthumously, he appeared in Tamil films like “Yaaradi Nee Mohini” and “Ellam Avan Seyal” in 2008, “Adada Enna Azhagu” in 2009, and “Ullam” in 2012.
Directed and produced by Hasif Abida Hakeem, who also handled cinematography, the documentary’s team includes editor and creative director Thamjeed Thaha, music composers Jishnu Sreekumar and Jeffin Joe Jacob, and sound designer Sree Shankar. “Raghuvaran: A Star That Defied Time” is set to release in multiple languages: Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, and English. The official release date has yet to be announced.
