Kuala Lumpur 17th August – Residents of Nenggiri in Gua Musang, Kelantan, have recently gained access to an ATM machine, fulfilling a long-standing need in the area.

Installed in Kampung Jerek, this new facility will serve approximately 30,000 residents, significantly easing their financial transactions. Previously, locals had to travel around 50 kilometers to access banking services, making this a major improvement.

The installation was a result of efforts by BN candidate Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani, who had promised to address the community’s concerns during his campaign.

The introduction of the ATM is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life in the region. The Ministry of Finance is also actively engaging with banks to further expand services, including the addition of a cash deposit machine.

These developments are expected to bring more convenience and efficiency to the residents, aligning with broader efforts to improve infrastructure in rural areas. The ATM installation marks a notable milestone for the community, reflecting the government’s commitment to addressing rural financial accessibility and promoting economic growth in under-served areas, as stated in Malaysia Kini.
